Anyone have all the Transformers Animated DVDs?

So...a very wonderful someone graciously copied me a set of the TFA DVDs, but no matter what DVD player I try them in, they won't work because they're the wrong region. :/ So I finally found http://watchtransformersanimated.com, but now their site is glitchy lately, and I can't ( Read more... )

There was never a season 3 DVD of TFA in the US. It's only elsewhere that all the eps were released on DVD.

Hasbro said "no plans" regarding whether S3 of Animated would be released, or re-releasing S1 and S2 DVDs (Action Figs asked this back in March 2010 Hasbro Q&A). Can't remember the exact reason, but I think that Hasbro and/or Paramount forgot to renew the license with CN, hence why no S3 DVD in US. I could be wrong on the licensing thing, but that's 'bout it in a nutshell.

I SHOULD have the TV rips hanging around, if you're willing to put up with the CN logo.

That would be cool. I don't even really mind the fuzzy quality and CN logo on some of the streams online. The real problem is that they're only intermittently available. :/

D: for a split second, you got my hopes up like crazy that I'd somehow, impossibly missed a DVD release of Season 3. >:

TFA really is the unloved orphan continuity - it seems that neither Hasbro NOR Cartoon Network has any interest at all in our money. *weeps*

That just shows how ignorant I am. I didn't even realize they hadn't released S3. :( It's silly, really. TFA is the best show Transformers ever put out as far as writing and animation. It's strange that they don't try to get more out of it.

Like...I'd rabidly pounce on any TFA Tracks toy they might decide to make. :) Those glasses!!

Yeah, I'm not very savvy about that stuff either. :/

The advantage of Australian DVD players - no region coding. :)

Although apart from shipping you an Australian player and a voltage/plug converter, I don't know how that would help much...

Hmm. If it was me, I'd just pull the ripped files off one of the TF filesharing hubs and burn them to a regionless disc, but these days I just tend to watch them on whichever site streams them. I guess the DVD versions would have higher resolution and the extras, though.

I don't even know why they stick with the region-coded machines anymore. Sheesh. I just wish my online Animated sites were more consistent. That's the problem.

I have them (S1 and 2) in avi format on my computer but I'm having trouble uploading them to MU. I'll keep trying and see if I can manage it. I'd love to be able to request a Twins fic from you (original, not TFA). ^^

just randomly uploaded ep 3 to see if it worked this time. if it does, I'll see what I can do about the rest. Slow progres though - I'm in Shanghai and fighting to get past the Great Firewall. :D

If you manage it, let me know. :) Aaaaand, I hate to say it, but I don't do request fiction anymore. In fact, I tend to not post my fiction online anymore. I might post a little at some point, but even that's questionable. So, fic, no, but I can do art. :)
