DIE, Facebook, DIE

So in summation:

1. Facebook has barred me from my account until I give them either A) my cell phone number, or B) a picture of my drivers' license.

2. tyrrlin came through and gave me the link to the page where you can get your account disabled. Except, in order for them to delete my account, I am required to log in. Which means...you're way ahead of ( Read more... )

I know. I'm so bummed though. I found Safeguard for $20...and I can't get him because of FB. They must DIE.

Oh well. I have a bid in on ebay, so hopefully I can win him over there for a decent amount. I'm not paying much more than $25-$30 for him though. If I'm going to pay more than that, I may as well get myself Elite Guard Prowl. Who I want. WANT. WANT. But I'm trying to be reasonable about how much I'll pay for these guys. Not that he's not worth it, but I have to draw the line for myself somewhere. :/

Pardon the rambling. :)

Yep. Corporate self-entitlement at its best.

Oh, the best bit is when they not only cut you off from the account, they cut you off from the ability to _delete_ the account, so all your personal information and relationship links between other people are still up there permanently and being mined by Facebook and everyone they sell out to, in perpetuity.

Yep, that's pretty much what happened. Fortunately, the only thing on there currently is my date of birth, and a short blurb on my TF collecting. But it still creeps me out that it's permanently on there, and I have no way to delete it.

I don't blame you there. Having been through some deployments in my family, I know how that can be.

Nope, it's not a scam. That's the first question a lot of people ask, but no matter how I try to log into facebook -- always going to their main page first, or clicking through an email that came from facebook -- I get this runaround. Seriously, it's not a scam. It's facebook doing this.

Yeah, all that talk about Facebook being a front for the CIA doesn't seem so far-fetched.
