...and they are pure gold. :D I was home sick the (again), and I just put the Transformers DVD on play and immersed myself in a few hours of silly. ( Here are some random observations: )
smokescreen's voice is inconsistent -- sometimes soft-spoken, sometimes slick. neither on their own sounds quite him. maybe if they were fused together somehow...
*splorfle at white-boy jazz* oh, but he tries so hard. ;)
methinks i gotta re-watch the show myself once time opens up!
I know! Nerd City makes the show. I LOVE it that the TFs aren't just Super Good Guys versus Super Bad Guys. They're all just people, most of whom are a little dorky. It just makes the show so endearing.
But seriously, the animators really had no clue what they were doing, like, 97% of the time. XD
1. Tracks. Has anyone noticed that in addition to being fabulous, Tracks whoops some serious ass?
Yep. On a long-ago "Ten Favorite TFs and Why" meme, I noted that, if one actually pays attention to "Make Tracks" and "Auto-Bop," one will note that Tracks is really a stand-up guy.
Hee hee...I'm sure Real_Jazz has the moves. Cartoon_Jazz needs some help though.
Tracks. I have always loved Tracks. The defamation of his character has always seemed unfortunate to me, because as a kid, I just thought he was righteously cool. He's quirky, kicks butt in battle, and despite his pissing and moaning, actually treats people pretty nicely. I always imagined that he and Sideswipe hit it off. He's probably on-again, off-again with Sunstreaker, but then, who isn't? Plus, in addition to being a cool guy, Tracks is a FLYING BLUE CORVETTE. Enough said.
AND I KNOW WHAT EPISODE EACH OF THOSE THINGS IS FROM XD
Oh man, it has been almost a year since I watched any of the G1 cartoon at all. I am totally doing exactly that sometime this holiday. That show got me through an entire semester of boring labwork once, lol. I hope it made you feel all warm and better inside ;)
It's been a while since I watched these, too, but they're really hitting the spot lately. I plan to watch more this weekend. They're so dorky and so charming at the same time. I think it's the characterizations. Nobody's perfectly good, and nobody's perfectly evil. Even Megatron shows some common sense once in a while, and you KNOW he keeps Starscream around because he secretly enjoys his company. This show is priceless.
When I hit number twelve I thought to myself, "Golly, I don't think I ever noticed that part", and then I was opening up Dinobot Island Part 2 in QuicktimePlayer before even stopping to think about it, LOL. My cartoon memory is made of win XD
When I first watched any of the show back in high school, Megs and Screamer's natty bickering was pure joy for me XD.
I saw that somewhere too, and DIED. It's SO true. Honestly, if they'd really wanted to kill each other, one of them would have managed it eons ago. Megatron and Starscream are pure comedy gold.
Wish I could remember where I saw that comic. Probably originally on DA, because I recall seeing the larger version. That's funny stuff.

Could you explain one thing to me though? Sunstreaker picked Chip up out of his wheelchair and PUT HIM ON HIS SHOULDER? And then called him a hero?
How the holy heck is that in character?

I must share this with you if you have not seen it. Someone on Deviantart once redrew this comic:

...replacing them with Megatron and Starscream but changing NOTHING else.

(I could only find a small version of this on the person's blog. It's no longer on Dev, sadness.)
