This one actually took some work.

You guys should be used to pieces this long by now.

My lady, whose body I touch everyday
as I walk upon the ground with my bare feet
My mother, whose glory I see in her highest mountains
and beauty in the deepest of seas.
Please hear your child.

Have you become deaf?
Have your children the humans, gone so wrong
that you have shut your ears?
Are you so angry with us
that even those who have done their best
to tend the forests and the land around them
that have strained their ears for even
the smallest whisper from, be hurt in your rage?

In our attempts to understand the world that we live in
In the human attempt to dominate and control that which we
call Earth, have we raped and scarred you beyond
even recognition by the oldest of souls?
Such question haunt me even in the waking hours.

Once you sent your spirit onto a select few
infusing their blood with your fire
filling their hearts with your love
gifting their minds with your passion and knowledge
causing their hands to work great things of wonder
leading their feet to new heights.
Then they vanished, your children it seemed went to sleep

When will your avatars awaken great mother?
When will you set their hearts racing and
ignite the sleeping fires that course through their veins?
Do they think that they are dreaming?
Do their spirits scream with fury at man-made disasters?
Their hearts mourning as they see more of the wild groves
vanish underneath sod grass and concrete?

Has the human raced doomed itself to feel the bite
of extinction?
Such a fate you sent upon many creatures of this world
Have we become your worst shame and failure?
Where are the Elves and Dragons and other creatures
you once set upon this world?
Has the race died so much that we will never see them return?
Will the world be human-less soon?

Gaia, hear my words, my pleas
If this human race cannot be spared in its entirety
Please...wake up your chosen ones!
Have you had them hidden away to protect them?
What miseries and agonies have they had to experience?
Where is your harbinger of the coming changes?

Holy great mother, calm my anger with my race.
Their deaf ears hear not your warnings with each earthquake,
their blind eyes look straight but do not see the volcanoes,
underneath their very feet, they ignore the scent of death on the air.
Human feet have grown soft, from the shoes they wear,
they've forgotten what it feels like to walk on you barefoot.

Human hands have grown weak, they have forgotten how to work
backs have become spineless, and mannerisms have become like sheep,
while the wolves have forgotten their teeth
My race respects what is green and paper,
instead of what is green and has to be earned and coaxed from the ground.
They stare in awe at things of metal and glass that touch the skies
instead of leaf and wood that gave sweet shade on a hot day.

How much has my race died, my Gaia?
How long must I watch as it gets worse?
When will you call your own?
When will I be able to take sword and shield in hand again for you?
With a loaded gun on my hip and blades on my back
I stand ready, but you are silent.

Open my ears so I might hear your whispers on the wind to me
Wipe my eyes clean of this man made pollution
so that I can see your glory and know where to restore it
Give my heart the passion it needs to stand when all seems to have been lost.
Set my blood on fire, and gift my tongue so that I might spread it.

Set me loose upon your enemies, Gaia.
Don't wait anymore Gaia,
how much longer will your children cry?
When will you set us free?
