NPC: Tieghan Moran [the best friend]
Location: The Heighworth School. Not only does this exclusive academy have one of the best reputations in Winchester, it also is known for reforming troubled teenagers and turning them into respectable individuals. The atmosphere is very cozy and the setting is almost like Wammy's, but the students are quite ( Read more... )

Tieghan Moran. Deborah Hart’s friend that she had made recently before her demise. Synch has already memorized all the scarce information that has been disseminated to them. What annoyed him was that there was no information on how the victim has died, but he supposed that it was their impetus to find out for themselves.

Standing in front of Heigworth School, Synch whistled in appreciation at the academy. And he waited for the petite female to show up.

[ooc; I'll be going to leave a message on Tieghan's phone to call her about the meeting, so she won't be all 'O.o Who are you?' Or... if that is too late, just disregard the comment over at her phone]

The girl was a bit late to the meeting, but eventually arrived, nervously wringing her hands. Her attention was directed more at the ground than at the boy in front of her.

"..." She didn't say anything yet.

[OOC: I'll go reply to that in a second, sorry.]

Synch observed her carefully. From their brief conversation through the phone, she sounded hesitant to meet up with him. Well, he knew that she was probably sad over her friend’s death and more than likely not want to talk about it, but if they were to get to the bottom of this case, he could not give her a choice.

“Good afternoon, Miss Tieghan. I’m Synch.” While he would usually speak in a cheerful tone, he deemed that it would be callous of him and settled for something more sympathetic. “Would you like to have something to eat or drink while we talk?” It would be rather awkward, not to mention unprofessional to speak in front of the school gates. Anyway, he did not want her to feel as if she was given yet another testimony to an investigator.

While he felt that she was weak for being depressed over the death of a friend, he identified with her on a different level.

[ooc; No, please don't apologise. I should be the person who is sorry @_@;;;]

Mello sat waiting in the front foyer of the Heighworth School main building, one hand in his pocket, legs casually crossed at the ankle and the other holding a bar of chocolate to his lips. He'd worn his denim jacket, some clean black jeans, a black tee-shirt and the same beat-up, trusty blank boots he'd had basically ever since he first came to Wammy's House... in other words, he was presentable and ready for work. Another group of students passed by, gossiping and sneering amongst themselves, and this time a girl gave him a wayward look- first of surprise, then of evaluation, and then came an obvious mental conclusion that made her smirk nastily as she left with her peers. Mello snapped a piece off of his chocolate bar and narrowed his eyes at her back as she left, chewing-up the bitter dark sweet vengefully.

These people were stupid and completely beneath him, but they had so much ego about themselves anyway... Mello hated few things more than he hated people who were snobbish without having any right to be ( ... )

A few minutes after break started, Tieghan finally appeared, attention directed at the ground.

"...I'm sorry I'm late," she said quietly.

Mello glanced up at her as he swallowed his chocolate, watching her for a moment before he neatly folded the foil back over the end and put the rest of the bar back in his jacket pocket and got to his feet. Tiegan had a very submissive posture and he assumed that, if it was between her and her boyfriend, she would be the easier one to break. But timid people needed to be coaxed properly first, because they could be very good at retreating and hiding if cornered in a conversation.

"No, that's fine." It wasn't completely fine, but Mello was being professional. He had to perform his very best here, after all, because to the untrained eye he was only 11 and had no place speaking to Tiegan, an older girl, like she was a less experienced individual.

"Let's find some place quiet where we can sit down and talk comfortably. Have you gotten your lunch yet?"

Z frowned even as he leaned against the wall of the Heighworth School's main building, waiting for the final class to end before lunch period began. The frown on his face was not without reason - over the past few weeks, he had been caught up in a number of assignments but had rushed everything in order to make time for this group assignment, in which he found out just a day ago that none of his team's members - including the team leader - had make any preparations. It annoyed him to no end that nothing had been done, so Z decided to take action himself regardless.

Huffing in annoyance even as he waited for a Miss Tieghan Moran to emerge from her class, Z flipped through the file he brought with him, contained within it a full case history on the suspect he was about to 'interview'.

Tieghan arrived a few minutes late, gaze locked firmly on her shoes. She didn't say anything immediately.

Z looked up from the file he was reading once he registered that someone was in front of him, and nodded curtly immediately after recognizing whom it was. "Miss Tieghan," he acknowledged, straightening himself soon after pushing his person off the wall he had leaned against.

"Thank you once again for agreeing to this meeting. Would you mind if I take your statement now and right here, or would you prefer somewhere more private?"
