Vimes! <333 (I would read Discworld even if he was the only character. I'd read Discworld if it was about Vimes doing his laundry. Because he would do his laundry awesomely.)

I loved UA, it was magic. Glenda was sheer love and awesome, and I absolutely adore the Wizards, and Ponder Stibbons pointing out that he practically rules the University with accumulated votes of all his position filled me with mad glee.

Also, Lie to Me <33. I would watch Cal Lightman do his laundry, too. But the show gives me a lot more, and I love it. The last scene made me sniff and want to squish them both madly. Why am I shipping the sort-of-maybe canon het couple? Wtf, self?

Hell yes! Sam Vimes is absolutely my favourite character in anything ever, far above and beyond all my other fandom loves (sorry, Scotty)

I loved UA <3 Glenda was brilliant too (And Glenda/Nutt? Awwwww) Oh, and Trev Likely too! Oh, oh, and Pepe and Madame Sharn! And Macarona, and...basically, I loved every character introduced in UA (Except Andy Shank, obviously. He reminded me uncomfortably of Carcer). You're right, Ponder Stibbons overruling Ridcully was a crowning moment of awesome - although on that thought, doesn't Rincewind hold a ridiculous number of posts as well?

Don't worry, I ship Cal/Gillian too. I excuse it with the fact that I ship Cal/Everyone. Cal/Ria? Occasionally, depending on the episode. Cal/Jeff? Hell yeah! Cal/Zoe? Why not? Cal/Eli? Well Eli only risked his own life to save Cal's in this ep. And last but not least, Reynolds/Cal (Oh yeah, you'd better believe Reynolds tops ;) )

Vimes and Lightman should do their laundry together. It would be the most awesome thing EVER.

UA took me eleven hours and was awesome. The dedication kinda hit me where I live, though. I hadn't realised that Sir T was having such difficulty typing.

I meant to ask; are you going to DWCon?

Oh, I know :( I don't even have the words for what a tragedy it is.

And I don't know what DWCon is, so...that's probably a no.

DWCon is the Discworld Convention for the UK. It's my first convention, ever, but I really can't put it off any longer. It looks pretty damned epic.

All I keep thinking is "Why the hell not Stephanie Meyer or whoever keeps writing some of those appalling Mills and Boon books?"

Ooo. Shiny. But I haz no monies :(

I know! I feel like a bad person for thinking this, but there are so many shit authors the world would not miss...and instead of one of them, it's happened to (well, YMMV, but as far as I'm concerned) one of the best contemporary authors in any genre.
