I heard they reduced Adora to a soft girly type and made the whole thing a romance. The actor playing her looks right for the part, but she was meant to be prickly and hard. Of course that was one opinion, but it did put me off along with Drunknott being all oily and looking totally wrong. I did hear that Vetinari and the sets were wonderful. I'm still wondering if it's worth getting.
I don't know who told you that, but I'm going to have to disagree completely. If anything I would have said she was more prickly than in the book. And don't worry about Drumknott, he doesn't get much screentime.
See, I'm not sure I can watch any version of Going Postal where Moist is played by anyone other than John Simm.
I haven't seen any of the filmed Discworld adaptations as I am saving them as special treats for when I catch up on the books. I stopped reading Discworld books in the 90s (for no reason other than I was in college and had no money and our library didn't get the new ones) and now I AM IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN. Ahem. And I *love* Moist. Moist is awesome.
I'm thrilled you see the PURE RIGHTNESS that is John Simm as Moist.
I don't have any other Discworld character cast in my head (though Ian McKellen would rock as Death. Oh, and Mark Williams (Mr. Weasley from the HP movies) as Mustrum Ridcully would be fun)but JS has been my Moist nearly from the beginning.
