did y'all know that, in addition to the Monkees, another one of my favorite bands of all time is The Monks? who knew that a group of oddball American ex-G.I.'s in Germany would epitomize "proto-punk" with a sound that has gone unmatched to this day? not to mention the fact how fucking smart and clever they were without an ounce of pretension...
