I just read your new piece...I daresay someone has royally cheesed you off recently. And as I'm not so local anymore, it leaves me to wonder who it could've been....that aside, nice work. I could see a piece like that given a bit of a rock edge, similar to early Ethridge work (though not the same scratchy vocals), if you catch what I am saying.

I've never been good at giving constructive criticism, nor is songwriting my forte, but uh if it helps I like it.

Haha wanna know something funny? In Belgium, it's Mother's Day everywhere except the city/state/province of Antwerp where I reside - it's on August 15th instead. Go figure, I've never heard of a country where the same holiday had very different dates in different cities.

A thumbs up or thumbs down works for me. I'll take it as it comes.

That is weird about Antwerp. I lived in Germany (Stuttgart, to be specific) when I was in high school, and the closest thing I can think of to how Antwerp celebrates Mother's Day would be the various local fests observed in smaller cities, like the Esslingen Onion Festival. No one else I know of celebrated onions.
