Oh, wow. This is so sad and dark- it's an uncomfortable punch to the stomach. I liked it too. It's a serious, realistic side to Shassie- how Shawn can't be tied down to one person but how Carlton (and even Abigail) need him to be.

It breaks my heart, honestly. Oh boys x_x Someone needs to hit them upside the head.

Wow. That was some heavy angst you got there. But it was lovely all the same; I can totally imagine Carlton reacting like that after the ep in question if they did have a secret affair, and Shawn being polygamous and defending his choice to have the right to fall in love with everyone all the time sounds *so much* like him, in this setting. All in all, great characterizations all around, you did a marvelous job! (Poor Abigail, though, if she's as alike to Shawn as shown in canon then she must more than suspect some things by now.)

I love Lassiter in this. He's such a hard character to pin down, but you do. Shawn's awesome, too, and the angst feels like it hurts less because it's inevitable and so realistic. There's a finality to this, and IMHO an upbeat everything-works-out sequel would just lessen its power. These men are too complicated for that. :)

I am a very sad person. =( <-- That proves it. Lassie deserves so much more. -sigh- He needs a hug. And maybe an AA meeting. I have to say that I didn't really like Shawn at all in this. -shrugs- Good job though.
