Oh no! I hate tragic food accidents, especially in large batches! At least it's totally recoverable and no one will know there was any bumps the day of.

I am commiserating with you. Been there, done that. I usually put everything in the pot, start it on high, to get it hot quick. Then I go to the comp to check my mail and websites, and the next I know the delicious smell of burned something is wafting through the air. ;-p
Hope the next 2 batches goes well.

Belgique Copper and Stainless Steel Cleaner. First bottle came with my pots. I don't use it every time I clean them, so the copper has darkened, but it sure cleans them nicely without scratching. I don't seem to have a lot of luck with baking soda on burnt material - it always leaves a shadow of the burn. Maybe I am just too impatient.

Enjoy Disney. R and I were amused at DW that everywhere you went, you had a soundtrack. They were nicely placed so that just as one faded behind you, the next one came up. The only place without a soundtrack was our room.
