Hug Rant

Feb 21, 2006 21:18

I think it's time for a mini-rant. Just had this on my mind, had to write it down. It's all about hugging. I'm not really much of a hug-type of person. It's not that I'm against hugs. If it's family, or a girlfriend then yeah, I'm all for hugs. But the rest of the time hugs make me feel akward.  When I see someone for the first time in a long while ( Read more... )

Hahaha you got hugged...now when I finally meet you in person some day I shall know NOT to hug you. Instead you'll get a BIIIIIIIG sloppy kiss on the cheek and a lil cheek pinching action (the face not the bum you perv) and then you'll finally admit you woulda prefered a hug. Booyah!

Hah. Well, I can't say I would be complaining much if I recieved a big sloppy kiss. I might have an angry punk rocker after me :P. I probably would prefer a hug to face pinching, though. But I never quite understood the whole pinching thing. Thankfully no one ever pinched me growing up. You going to any of the shows in the next month or so?

I think the face pinching is pretty much to be an asshole...at least thats why I do it and really I'm the only person worth mentioning right now. LOL, just kidding...but not really.
I wasn't aware there were gunna be any shows except the one at the end of March that FIS is playing at. If theres some other good ones lemmie know and I'll see about attending these red carpet events. :) When do I get to see your band play a show?

Heh, there are lots of shows. Sadly, the only show we are signed up for is on April 21st in Vanderhoof. We're hoping to do another show in PG sometime before the end of April, though ( ... )

Ok ok, what if it wasn't so much a hug and more of a standing dry hump? Is it still an offencive thing to you? What if it was a guy giving you the dry hump hug? What if he gave your back a lil rub while hugging you?

Hah. I'm probably the one who's more likely to throw out a standing dry hump. And I would love a backrub. I'm in dire need of one. Just so long as I don't have to return the favor.

Thats awesome, I think you are my new best friend who I'll never talk to! Seriously, next time you see someone you wanna bug give them a nice hug with a lil rub. Man, if I were a guy I'd be so getting my ass kicked with all the stupid shit I'd do to annoy people.

Hah. Yeah, that's why I don't randomly give other guys back rubs. I don't really have much in the way of ninja fighting skillz, so I would most likely get my ass kicked, which is not on my daily agenda. And I do hug people and go to give them a backrub and stupid stuff like that when I want to bug someone I know.

Don't think I'm odd or anything, I've just been browsing around reading journals, avoiding studying for a midterm tomorrow morning. I just wanted to say that I can relate to this hugging awkwardness you speak of. I have a friend who insists on hugging me every time I leave. It's just plain awkward and there's no way to get out of it!

Too late, I already think you're odd. But so am I, so it's all good. I do the same thing when I'm supposed to be working. I'll randomly browse around the amazing internet. It's good to hear that at least someone knows how I feel about this. You need to give your friend a boot the next time they try to hug you.

You're right, I am odd :P and I don't think my friend would enjoy me giving him the boot next time he tried to hug me. How do you nicely tell someone you don't want a hug...EVER!
