Apparently everyone's doing this.

1. Your LiveJournal user name and what it means:

Ahh, The Tingler. It began as my name in Lazerquest. I was originally called Equinox, a name I borrowed from a book of bad horror movies, until some thieving twat stole it and became an official member. I cruised names such as UFO and Mr. Orange before returning to the fabled Book and choosing another bad 50s horror movie. I started using The Tingler as my online persona, and when I chose it as my e-mail address it became permanent. Just think - if that dirty rat hadn't nicked it I would still be Equinox now!

2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are?

A tricky question. Actually are inside I'll say 8/10. This is almost pure me, although with a bit repressed. Actually are in person it's more like 6/10. I'm less chatty in real life - I prefer listening.

3. How much about your life do you post to LJ?

For the most part I try to avoid anything bad. Most people have their own problems to worry about, and I prefer to keep people entertained when they're round at my place.

4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?

Really bad things happening in the world that everyone's talking about. Hurricanes, famine, terrorism, the last series of Big Brother, that sort of thing. I'm not helping anyone by posting about how terrible these events are, everyone reading already knows that.

5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?

I'm not posting as often as I'd like, but I try to keep as interesting as possible when I do. I'll say 7 or 8. Obviously it depends on whether you're looking forward to Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or not.

6. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you?

I have the sneaking suspicion my sister might be round here somewhere because of me, but that I know for sure: no.

7. What proportion of your posts are friends only?

Less than 1%. Very little I write is really private, it's for the whole world man!

8. What are your top five favourite interests on LJ?

Doctor Who, Sonic The Hedgehog, Star Wars, Douglas Adams, Doom.

9. How often do you post in communities, and did you ever start your own?

I post in communities whenever I have anything interesting to say that no one else has said. Never started my own, because there's plenty out there already.

10. How often do you respond to/comment on other people's journals?

Often as possible, although sometimes not often enough.

11. Do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals?

Totally depends on whether I've got anything to talk about. I'm a lazy person though, so I'll say 'Read Other Journals'.

12. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument on LJ (or did it to someone else)?

Yesss... I hate arguments over the internet. You can't win, and it's too easy to continue. Who was it who said "Arguing over the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics - no matter whether you win or lose, you're still retarded".

13. Have you ever banned someone from your journal?

Not really, but I should've.

14. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?

If I think we're alike or have something in common to chat about.

15. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?

Not always.

16. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?

If they continued to talk about stuff that was of no interest to me whatsoever.

17. Is your "significant other" on LJ?

Don't make me hurt you.

18. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ?

Yeah, but most of them are annoyingly in another country.

19. Who are your four favourite LJ friend(s) and why?

Oooh, this is mean. What is this league-table mentality? A friend is a friend. If you want four friends' pages I keep an eye on because they usually have something interesting to say, fine:

alec_jenner because I'm consistently amazed by how alike we are.

the_terrible because after encountering him in three separate communities at random I thought it was easiest just to keep his main page handy.

mimsilla because she's a girl who plays Resident Evil and is single, although annoyingly still in another country.
thelostkelpie too, because she introduced me to here in the first place. Although she doesn't seem to post as much as she used to.
