re: Sherlock

um

To be honest I...wasn't impressed. The whole episode was disjointed and annoying. I DID really love the beginning with Moriarty and his whole

kinda vibe going on. And his trolling of Mycroft.

I thought that near the end when Sherlock and Mycroft were on the plane full of dead people that it was getting interesting again, but then it veered back into the stupid again. How the fuck was letting the terrorists think they succeeded by intentionally letting a plane blow up logical? I might have to rewatch that again cause that made NO fucking sense. I guess they suspected someone in the government giving out info to the terrorists and they didn't want the person to think that they were onto him/her so they pretended they didn't have the info? That's pretty much the only thing I can come up with that makes sense.

I am extremely bothered by Adler's depiction in the episode. She was bad-ass enough that they didn't need to add the whole 'randomly being in love with Sherlock' thing into it. I am bored of this 'twist'.
Why did she tell John she was gay when she wasn't? It's possible she thought that Sherlock followed John and she was trying to throw him off. But, ugh. So many issues.

I think the biggest thing that bothered me was the lack of Sherlock and John interaction. I know that Sherlock was intentionally leaving John out of the picture, but the whole reason I love this series so much is the relationship between them. And I don't only mean in a shippy way (though I do love that), but ANY interaction. I appreciate them exploring Mycroft's relationship with his little bro more but Mycroft is Mycroft.

And finally POOR MOLLY :((( I honestly hated Sherlock in those few moments when he was just tearing her down. I wish John had punched him in the face THEN!

Anyways enough bitching. Onto the stuff I liked:

-The way that John and Sherlock both really care for Mrs Hudson! So adorable.
-So much violin action...and, tying in with the above, Sherlock playing the violin for Mrs Hudson. (sidebar: lmao Lestrade why are you at that Christmas party?)
-John's face, as always, but especially when he sees naked Adler. And when Sherlock's sheet falls and you see his butt John starts moving towards him and I am just sdjfhska
-"We're not a couple!" "Yes you are."
-John's ugly-as-fuck Christmas sweater
-Fight Club
-Remember that time Sherlock didn't wear pants. And he and John laughed about it. That was a good time.

And finally, whoever shot the whole episode did an AMAZING job. The cinematography was phenomenal, and I sometimes got distracted by the scenery porn.

sociopath not a psychopath, i have some feelings
