Ok. I failed my first program in 456. I got a 30/100. If I fix all the bugs, I can still turn it in on thursday and get 95%, but he hasn't even told me what the bugs where. Hopefully they are minor bugs and I can fix them and get the points back. If I can get no higher than a failing grade on program 1, then I can get no higher grade than a ( Read more... )

oh, Turkey, I'm so so sorry! Good luck fixing it and I hope you can managed to get it to work. Take however much time you need to focus on it, but if you need to de-stress, you know when/where to find me ;)

When I went to go talk to him (as many of the 11 of us did) he said that it was not so bad. I accidentally changed some of the file names and that caused it not to compile. Not sure how that happened, but w/e. Also, he said there were 2 bugs: one trivial, and one that we're not suppose to handle, but he took of 10% for it anyway. If there is a cycle in the graph, then things get hairy, but I should be able to figure that one out. I'm thinking I can still get an A on the program, so, I'm in a little better spirits, but I would enjoy some cheering up. ;)

Arg, dammit. I'm sorry. I'm horrible at this kind of thing; I never know what to say. I feel horrible, because I don't want you to be depressed, but there's nothing I can do. I wish I could make everything better for you. I'm so sorry about this morning, thinking back on it now I don't think I helped you at all, and I feel horrible about it. Awwwww. Yeah, I was not in the best of spirits this morning. I probably shouldn't have logged on at all, but I was looking to talk to you. I figured since I was down, you would be able to cheer me up, or at least not let me think about it until I got to class. You did all you could, and it is greatly appreciated! :)
