So this morning I was listening to Ottawa Morning on my way to work. My old prof Tom McSorley was reviewing the new Roman Polanski doc. He got to the the part about Polanski being tried for statutory rape and how He was charged with a lesser charge because the girl consented. To which Kathleen Petty cuts in "A 13 year old can't consent."

what's that girl's name who fucks up on cbc every morning? i heard her pronounce adequate like ada-cu-wait on monday and i feel like i should be able to make fun of her in everyday conversations.

does she read the news or is she a bobblehead? the one who reads the news might be Kate Porter (although she has gotten better lately) but the bobblehead is certainly Hale Cottnam. I read that she was working as a teller in a bank when she decided to go back to school for 1 year of college radio and voila! the dumbest radio personality alive.

so she made a mistake pronouncing a word and had an awkward comment in a film review. not really worth getting worked up over is it?

well i wouldn't exactly call myself "worked up" isn't livejournal about voicing life's little foibles?

I listen to CBC every day and trust me she has not made two mistakes in her life. and the thing i was talking about wasn't even a mistake, it was her trying to look like a hard-nosed journalist during a movie review and inappropriate

I know I would be terrible on radio - I have a problem with reading and speaking at the same time - but that's why I don't speak in public for a living

There are a lot of people on the CBC that annoy me. I picture them living in the Glebe, being white and wearing African garb.

the only person I really like now is Lawrence Wall. Listen to Rita Celli for her gasping like a fish out of water when she tried to cut off a guest in the middle of a sentence. drives me crazy!

I don't listen to state radio, but I don't know why.
