Who is your personal role model?

The unicorn snorts lightly, half in amusement and half in wonder that anyone should think to ask her such a question.A role model? Why would I have a role model? There is no being in the world who is worthy of my imitation. And even if there were, it would not matter, for unicorns never imitate. We are only imitated, and always poorly at that ( Read more... )

Younger than he has been in a long while, but still unmistakeably Ethan, he's a little surprised to see a unicorn, but tries to tamper down his reaction.

Forgive me for asking, but who would seek to imitate a unicorn and how? I've come across nothing like that in my research.

[OOC: I hope you don't mind, but he's curious. And in case you didn't know, is currently physically and mentally his former 16 y/old self...]

If the unicorn is surprised to see a younger version of the Ethan she remembers, she does not show it.

Men imitate me all the time. They may not imitate me in form and shape--ridiculous notion!--but they imitate my innocence, in their art, in their dreams, in their loves; anything they hold to higher standards than they can ever hope to meet themselves.

(OOC: I certainly don't mind Ethan's curiosity. I'm just sorry it took so long to respond!)

The pretence of innocence, true pretence to self, always puzzled me. But then, I suppose we can never understand someone else's when we can't understand our own.

[OOC: He's back to normal in TM time but if you want, he can still chat young here :)]

...That you knew my name, and yet chose to call me "pony" in the same breath, is more offensive than had you truly mistaken me for the former.

At this, the unicorn's blindingly bright whiteness softens a little. You knew another unicorn? Curious in spite of herself, she takes a step towards the dejected Delerium. Do you know what happened to him?
