Heh, the original script(two links by the way) was both better and worse. The original had a darker ending, with one interesting thing, where Marcus takes John Connor's place, after Connor is killed, which is interesting, in that script no one knows what John Connor looks like, and that's an interesting idea, it's the name that's important, sorta. Still, that script was also pretty dumb (Sky Net had a resort for humans... sigh).

They sort of got the code thing right, most computer programs are written in stuff derived from english. On the other hand, Sky Net is supposed to be way smarter than any of us, so it should have changed something like that.

That would have been a much more interesting idea if you ask me, it would have at least been an ending that I wouldn't have seen coming a mile away.

I figured out how to categorize Terminator Salvation: It's a good action movie, plenty of explosions, good fights, etc. It's a terrible Science Fiction Movie.

We watched the Original Terminator the other day, its not only a great action movie, but also a great science fiction film. One thing I realized that while watching it that the nuclear war was not between us and the machines, it was between the US and Soviet Union.

The Film was made in 1984, no one knew at the time that seven years later the cold war would end. The Film's dialog suggests that Skynet simply instigated the war, then waited for us to kill ourselves and emerged when it though the time was right.
