indeed, the news overdramatizes everything. "Oh man, look at this huge tornadic storm coming that will produce the most powerful tornadoes in Florida history and destroy life as we know it!"...and then no tornadoes come.

And like you said, whatever your fancy, there's something lost when something that is special to you becomes way over-popularized. Agreed.
