The scenario is entirely different, but this entry reminded me of when there was a sleepover at my school when I was a kid. I was chewing gum as I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I realised I must have swallowed it.
You know, I've had dreams that I still remember more vividly than things that have happened, and I also have memories that I am unsure whether they were dreams or reality.
Some dreams seem so real. I have both good and bad ones that haunt me to this day.
One (and this will seem silly) is about one of the first guys I had a crush on. In real life, he never noticed me but about a year ago, I dreamed I was young again and he was around and this time..(this is silly) he stroked my cheek so gently. He didn't kiss me or anything like that but that gentle touch...to think someone could want to be so gentle with me.
I don't know that anyone ever really touches my face. In the dream, it was so sweet and kind.
Aw! But that was the prettiest, most magical story ever. I loved it :) I let out a little "oh!" at the first mention of the doe. Wonderful, wonderful, as well it made me think of one camp-out when the teachers were about 100m away in their tent and were apparently commenting on how quiet we were when suddenly the lot of us SCREAMED as one - there were some possums overhead who started to fight and jeepers but those things make terrifying noises!

Also, I had to laugh at the "Gaylord" thing. I remember cackling at the names of other kids parents too!
