Advice: Get to know your setting. It's hard in a travelling game, and definitely more work, but knowing your setting will make the game come alive.
When I ran Werewolf, I statted out everything in something like a 10-15 block radius for the players. I knew all the major NPCs, so if anyone had accidentally gone to the right place at the right time, they'd meet someone.
This also helps with confidence. If you can be confident in your setting then even if PCs throw you a curve you can run with it. The Hospital scene went well, for instance.
