What a wonderful notion and you really did it justice. Your original characters were sharply written and the family's reaction to Mrs. Cuddlesworth's strange new behavior was delightful. Her behavior with the house guest was wonderful and I was laughing at her sitting happily, improvised stake in her jaws, as the family fussed about the mess of ashes and splintered wood.

Mister Percy's fleeting feeling that their beloved pooch was something more was a fitting tribute to their wonderful, accidentally called dog.

Thanks for this. It has put a big smile on my face.

Ah, very glad you enjoyed the tale of Mrs Cuddlesworth...these one-shot weiries are always things I enjoy writing. I should try it again one of these days.

I adore this story. What a very good dog. I am imagining Mrs. Cuddlesworth attacking Spike's pant leg in that final alley. (He'll never know about his first Slayer...)

For some reason, I especially liked the idea of Mr. Percy providing a new stake every night while tying her up in the back yard. It would certainly keep the dog from destroying the furniture!

I also love the idea of the Watchers' Council at loose ends and starting to devour itself. Damned fool things.

Awesome! I've been wondering if anyone would ask how Mrs.Cuddlesworth died, and I always had it in my head that it WAS Spike, and he never realized he'd actually bagged 3 Slayers. I dig that you sussed it out!
