I've been trying to spend less time online and more time keeping the house & giving Autumn relaxing days. I'm not about to give up LJ, although I'm tempted to take up greenhealing's week long hiatus challenge. I'd be fine not posting, but I'd be wondering what was going on in everyone's lives. I'd sneak ( Read more... )

I was thinking about the LJ hiatus thing too. But my computer is evil, it sucks all the energy from my body, yet I can't resist it's draw.

I really want to see Fahrenheit 9/11, and I never want to see movies that are even slightly disturbing. But I think this one is a *must* see.

That sounds like an awesome routine! Ahh, the luxury of having one child, I remember it well ;)

I thought about doing the lj break challenge too, but I usually read lj while lexie naps on my lap...if i read a book the page turning wakes her up...so it's either the computer or the t.v. with the sound down and the captions on...I haven't been posting all that much lately anyway. I've been doing art stuff and writing in my paper journal at night...plus lj has been acting up anyway.

It wouldn't bother me one bit what you have to say politically. I'm a more or less tree-huggin' liberal, but I don't mind when people post political things in their journals, because I can choose not to read, or to stop reading altogether. And for me, it's a bonus when someone talks about something I agree with.

I wanted to see Farenheit last weekend but didn't have the funds, so I hope to this weekend. I get paid tomorrow, yay!

And about greenhealing's challenge, I think it's a great idea, except that right now is the worst possible time for me to take the challenge. I just got internet in the home today! I haven't had in-home internet since the late 90's. I've had to journal from the library and public computers and this is such a luxury for me. I have never journaled at midnight before. I'm not willing to give that up right now. Try me in a year and then I'll be much more up for the challenge. ;-)

Luck and love...

No break for me! mrs__smith July 1 2004, 17:15:02 UTC
I just joined LJ last week so there's no way I'm taking a break now!! I am trying to be careful though not to spend more than an hour a day on the computer, but it's hard when you're a SAHM with a 3 month old and desperate for contact. I'm curious to hear how Autumn's bedtime routine works out, it will be time to get one organized for Gabriel soon. We're also having a trial run with Gabriel's first babysitter this Saturday night - scary!
