Poetry Dump

I have a feeling that I'm going to be posting on here more and more and on DA less and less, just because it's hard to keep up with EXACTLY what I am and am not "allowed" to post on MY page at deviantart. Whatever, point is that I don't like to piss a whole bunch of people off, so I'll just gradually start moving over here. My more practical ( Read more... )

*cracks knuckles* From one artist to another, I suppose I should give some critique.

The third line on the first one, how long it is, really throws off the rhythm for me. It's probably just because it juts out so much. Do you think there are rules, to a certain degree, on the visual side of poetry? I think how they're organized really creates how they're read (of course), so a set up like that really throws you off. Of course, this can also be used to your advantage to really make a certain line stand out or stick with you.

In the second poem, monitor is spelled wrong. ♥ XD I'm such a sucker for spelling mistakes.

Rhyming poetry has always been my favorite. XD It has a rhythm, like you said.

In other news, welcome to the dark side. >D Mmmm...LiveJournal. You will like it here. I think so, yes, very much. Now what you need are some icons! I can make some if you had any in mind.

I'm an awful speller, so that tends to happen...

Yeah, I noticed the problem with the first poem, but I honestly can't figure out where to break it. I ended up just leaving it like that... but if it REALLY screws with it, I'll look at it. Honestly not a big fan of that one anyway.

And LiveJournal is cool, even though I'm still not thrilled about being kicked off the internet by popular opinion. Perhaps I'll go on an icon hunt later... but I doubt it, I still don't have a facebook picture.
