I was happy to find this community and sorry to see how quiet it is. I just commented on a post that I realized was over two years old. LOL

I'm old enough to have watched the Waltons which the series was originally broadcast. I loved it then because it reminded me of stories my parents and grandparents told of the years before the Depression through WWII. It's a gentle story of a family. I've bought the series now and started rewatching and I think it's even more relevant today as the economic climate is changing. The Waltons and their community were people who knew how to be self-sufficient, do without and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Those may be very important values to learn (or relearn) today. Good night, Jim-Bob!!
