Yeah, there's something really sketchy with the company. I did a bit of work for them over the summer and then they never paid me. I had to bug them for 3 months before I was compensated--and the cheque I eventually got was short about 60 bucks, but I was just so glad to have been finally paid anything that I didn't pursue it any further.

I think you should file some kind of complaint. Do they still have that poster on the fridge in the break room about "employer responsibilities" or what not. Maybe they need to read it.

Seriously though, that place sounds like bad news. Something tells me that they WOULD shut down rather than treat the employees reasonably, so I dunno....

yeah. they don't seem to treat us badly, but there's nothing to stop them from doing so at the drop of a hat - and they certainly don't want to treat us well. there doesn't seem to be a good answer.
