what do you think?

Just wondering: if your fourteen year old daughter worked all day to make you a delicious roast complete with potatoes, parsnips, and gravy, would you help her clean? And if for some reason you didn't help her clean. Would you nag at her for not cleaning?

You can cook dinner at my place any time, and I won't make you clean. ;)

Of course I'd have to clean up first so you'd have something to cook in... :-S

If you cook, the other person cleans is the rule in our household. Also: DUDE, Mez, Katie, Nick and I had roast tonight and I didn't even think to make the parsnips. DOH. Ok, into soup they go.

You know, I had this sort of same issue with my dad at 14 and I honestly couldn't tell you how to solve this problem. Perhaps you can broach it with him in a letter format. Let him know about how you feel about certain household chores and the "sharing" of them and suggest some sort of cleaning/cooking regime between the two of you on some sort of "fair" basis.
