I have a lot of angry energy to burn that was not satisfied by a hard workout at the gym. So I'm listening to Cake's "Nugget" loudly and on repeat in my room before showering. My roommate set my alarm for a different time yesterday without telling me and forgot to reset it, so I woke up late and it's thrown me off all day. ANGER.

I can't believe Paul Newman died. I actually shed tears when I heard the news yesterday. I don't know what I'm going to do when Robert Redford kicks the bucket. I need to get my hands on The Sting so I can properly say good-bye.

I found someone to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with and I'm pretty excited. I mean, this is what college is supposed to be all about, right? The whole idea of going home with other people and mooching off their food and hospitality and seeing their hometowns and families and friends. Should be a good holiday ( Read more... ) -

Now that we've got our lovely couch, our room is shaping up quite quite nicely. We've got awesome wall decor and plan on purchasing a floor lamp and lots of plants in the near future. I'm really excited about the plants even though i have little to no experience keeping plants alive. My roomie rocks and getting me back in the habit of more ( Read more... ) -

I love St. Olaf. The weather is perfect, my friends here are awesome, the food rocks (though I'm already feeling fatter), and it's so nice to unpack at a leisurely pace before anyone else. I like being able to lounge around on campus with little responsibility and good literature. I started reading McEwan's Atonement in hopes that the book is ( Read more... )
