In an attempt at reducing the size of my pile of books to read, I forbade myself to buy any during Lent. All I seem to be reading in these days is fanfiction or research stuff to my own stories. My book-case is stuffed with to-read stuff, and I never get around to actually do some reading.
Of course, the fact that my working schedule is deep sh*t may have to do something with it.

Besides, it's either writing or reading, and I barely find the time to do my writing. Work schedule is what it is - in these days one has to be grateful to have work to begin with, especially at my age.

I know what you mean about barely denting the pile, though: it's so quick to accumulate them; so much slower to actually get through them...

(Sorry: I'm totally useless. The only advice I can offer in terms of reduction of personal libraries is to move across a continent. It worked for me twice, but now we've been settled, the shelves are groaning again.)
