Well, this was embarrassing. Two weeks spent learning the differences in design and programming languages for a completely different universe. A few more days spent making certain the strange 'droid' from the junk shop didn't have any damage to hardware or coding from whatever sort of ionization weapon had hit it. A distraction just as he'd been ready to activate it... and the end result?
The 'patient' had run off. Gate was still surprised something that short could move so fast, or find a place to hide so quickly. Then again, it had been perhaps five minutes or so before they'd managed to catch the monkey that Yammark had brought to show him...
