'Mirror, Mirror' -- an interlude

Finally, I can write again! Whatever was blocking my brain is gone; bad timing, though, as I'm about to be away from my computer for a week.

Still, I offer up this little bit of the coming chapter of 'Mirror, Mirror'; it isn't perfect and there isn't much of it, but the very fact that it happened makes me happy and I hope you feel the same.
