I can identify with your first line. A close friend of mine was living in the Azores for the past 3 years, and while there she went to Russia and Paris and Maachu Pichu (sp?), and NOW she's moved to Italy, and went to Egypt for 2 weeks and just did an "impromptu" trip to Ireland for the weekend... and I'm sitting here going "huh..." :-)

Wow! Now that's travel. I'd love to be able to do that, but even if I had the funds I don't think I could handle the pace. XD

yes, 'tis me... and I still stand by my opinion that I can critique you w/o berating you. Besides, I'm in no position to berate anyone - I haven't even gotten around to posting any of my stuff yet (stuck in that endless loop of just as I'm about to actually post something, I decide to revise it yet again... I think it's just fear). :-)

So did you go any farther with your piece from writers' guild?

I'm always very careful to be positive when I give a critique, too, mostly because I'm still a beginner myself.

I revised it twice more and sent it in to an online magazine, but I haven't heard back from them yet. The response period is a couple months, though, so I'm not worried. We'll see what happens.
