My cup runneth over.

So, yesterday my father picked me up from work and we went to a used electronics store to see if they had a VCR. My VCR just died, and we were thinking maybe we could get a cheap one for Christmas. I was also sort of looking for a word processor, because sharing the computer for NaNo has been kind of trying, and that way one of us could write ( Read more... )

Morri needs to join dragonspam2 and dragonspam_er to get clicks. That's what I did.

Two dragons hatched! :)

When I was a freshman in college, one of my roommates had a word processor. I remember staring at it, confused. I didn't know such things existed, I thought it was either typewriters or computers.

Would you like my VCR? I haven't used it in ages (I should probably check to see if it works, come to think of it.) I've been debating giving it away anyway, because the only reason I've held onto it for so long is this idea that maybe I'd absolutely have to tape something someday, but I don't think that day is coming, especially since most tv is online now and I don't own anything I want to watch on VCR, anyway.

:D Yay!

We have an old manual typewriter, too. It's Shad's. But it's more convenient when you can save something to a disc. XD

OMG, really? That would be wonderful! We'd pay for shipping, of course, and we could make you art or dolls or both in exchange.

I'm surprised they still make word processors, but I guess they're a lot cheaper than a whole computer.

I like the sound of art and dolls. :) Let me check to make it sure it still works (I don't see why it wouldn't, it's not an old model or anything, I just haven't used it in forever) and I can take it to the post office tomorrow. You know, I've never shipped anything. Will the post office wrap it for me or do I buy a box and bubble wrap and do it myself?

EEEeeeeeeeee! You are a sweet and wonderful person. A good 2/3 of our film collection is on VHS. Just tell me what you would like drawn and what kind of doll(s) you would like, and we will make it happen.

I don't know about your Post Office, but around here they won't wrap it for you. You'll have to bring it in all wrapped up and tell them what's in the box. That's what we've always done when shipping things.
