From reymonkey:

1. Getting kissed under the mistletoe or in the snow?
Both. Why choose?

2. Santa or Rudolph?:
Uhhh...Mrs. Claus.

3. Stocking or presents?:
We do both, but I like the stocking best.

4. Egg nog or hot cider?:
I don't like egg nog. Cocoa, preferably.

5. Angel or Star?:
Angel.

6. Decorating the tree or putting lights on the outside?
When I was little, I used to envy people who had decorations all over their houses outside, but now that I'm grown up I realize what a pain in the tail all that must be. The tree is plenty.

7. Warm fires or sleigh rides?:
Warm fires. Good for reading and drawing in front of.

8. Expensive presents or presents that come from the heart?:
Either. The important thing is that the giver thinks of the recipient and his or her taste and quirks. I hate to sound unsentimental, but giving a heartfelt batch of peanut butter cookies to someone that's allergic to nuts isn't going to do anyone any good, you know?

9. Snow ball fight or snowman?:
I always wanted to make a snow fort, with little chairs and a table and everything. We don't get quite enough snow for that here.

10. Will you be getting coal or presents?:
Coal. I've been very bad this year.

11. Giving or Receiving presents?:
You know, both stress me out this time of year, but I think I enjoy planning what I'm giving.

12. Open presents quick or slow?
Slow. Savor the moment. Torment the giver.

13. Caroling or Christmas stories?
You have to know who you're caroling at, but I went caroling with my church before. It was nice until we went to the wrong house. Haha, oops, sorry sir. Do you even celebrate Christmas? Our bad.

14. Snowy days or icy days?:
Snow. Ice kills trees.

15. Red or Green?:
Red.

16. Nightmare before Christmas or The Santa Claus?:
TNBC.

17. Dasher or Dancer?:
Dancer.

18. Prancer or Vixen?
Vixen.

19. Comet or Cupid?:
Cupid.

20. Donner or Blitzen?:
Blitzen.

21. Fake tree or Real tree?:
Fake. It's a pain to store, but we don't have to water it or try to get it hauled away in January and then vacuum needles off the rug.

22. Prime Rib or Ham?:
Actually, I don't like either much. I prefer turkey.

23. Red and White Candy Canes or Colorful Candy Canes?
Red and white. Tradition.

24. Get up early or sleep in late?:
I'll sleep in late if the cats let me.

25. Old Christmas Movies or New ones?:
Uh, medium? I'm not big on It's a Wonderful Life and that lot, but I like A Christmas Story.

26. The Santa Claus 1 or The Santa Claus 2?
Neither.

27. The Grinch movie or Elf movie?:
NEITHER.

28. Scrooge or Tiny Tim?:
I always liked the ghost of Christmas Past.

29. Ornaments or a Wreath?:
I love wreaths, but we have nowhere to put one.

30. Christmas Eve or Christmas day?:
Christmas Eve. There's some anticipation, but all the wild wrapping and buying is done.

Before Christmas:
1. Does your family send Christmas cards?
Haha, no.

2. How soon do you start shopping?:
Basically, when I get my Christmas bonus. I have to plan ahead so I can pay the rent in January.

3. Who do you shop for?:
Rey, Shad, Morri, parents, my aunt, and a couple friends. I make cookies for coworkers.

4. Do you put up a Christmas tree?:
Yes.

5. If so, is it fake or real?:
Fakey-fake.

Decorations:
6. Do you like tinsel?:
In theory, sure. In practice, no. It's like easter grass; it goes everywhere.

7. Do you use homemade or store bought ornaments?:
Mostly bought, but some handmade. I like the handmade ones the best. I used to have one of a baby in a hollowed out eggshell I really loved, but the eggshell broke.

8. Do you put Christmas lights outside your house?:
Nope.

9. Do you put lights on the tree?:
Rey does.

10. How about popcorn and cranberries?:
They're a pain to string, but we did it one year. Very pretty.

11. Is there a wreath hanging on your door?:
No. :(

Christmas Eve:
13. Nah, that never works well. Just lay them under the tree. <---ROFL, what Rey?
I guess this question was something about hanging stockings, because we can never seem to get ours to stay hung.

14. Does your family read "Twas the night before Christmas?":
No, but I sometimes read out of the Bible.

Favorite:
15. Christmas Movie?:
A Christmas Story, or a Christmas Carol with George C. Scott as Scrooge. When I was little, I liked Mickey's Christmas Carol even better. I had all these little stuffed toys based on the movie and I used to make my Dad act it out with me with the plushies.

16. Character from any Christmas Movie:
Dunno. When I was little, I totally adored Tiny Tim.

17. Christmas Song:
"Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming"

18. Christmas Memory:
I used to sing 'O Holy Night' every year in church on Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve candlelight church services are so pretty and uncomplicated.

This or That :
19. Give or Receive?:
Both.

22. Ham or Turkey?:
Turkey.

24. White Lights or Colored Lights?
Depends on my mood on any given year. White, this year.

25. Blinking Lights or Still Lights:
Still, usually.

26. Were you Naughty or Nice this year?:
Nnngh. I was both, I think, ultimately.

Presents:
27. What do you want for Christmas this year?:
To be healthy, some self-esteem, maybe a new sweater or two. The Courtney Crumrin book I just ordered. Rest.

28. When do you open your gifts?:
Christmas morning.

29. What's the best gift you've ever gotten?:
I don't like to answer questions like this. The best gift I've gotten is the most recent one.

30. What's the worst gift you've ever gotten?:
Probably some article of clothing too small for me. That's always fun.

31. Who gives you the most gifts?:
My parents, particularly my father. Hello, laptop. He spoils me a little.

32. Have you ever had a secret Santa?:
Not since college.

33. Do you like wrapping gifts?:
I hate wrapping gifts. I always do a half-assed job, too.

Random:
34. Do you put change in those red buckets?:
I do. I've heard all the reasons not to give to the Salvation Army, and I respect people who choose not to, but I do anyway. We do the angel tree program too when we have the cash. We couldn't this year, though.

35. Do you burn a yule log?:
Nope.

36. Can you name all the reindeer?:
Easily. This meme just listed them all.

37. Do you bake cookies?:
Yearly. And fudge, usually.

38. Have you ever seen your mommy kissing Santa Claus?:
Bleah. No.

39. Have you ever gotten a kiss under the mistletoe?:
I kind of don't think so.

41. Do you drive around and look at the Christmas lights?:
We did a tacky lights tour once. That was fun; would do it again. We should drive around and check things out this year, too.

42. Have you ever left Santa cookies?:
When I was little, yes. My father would track soot over the hearth and take a bite out of one to make it look like Santa had been there, too.

43. Have you ever sat on Santa's lap?:
Yearly until I was ten or so, yup. My parents have photographic evidence.

44. Who do you celebrate Christmas with?:
We visit my parents on Christmas Eve, then spend Christmas morning at home. Later on during Christmas Day we go back over there for a nice dinner and more presents.

45. Where do you celebrate Christmas?:
Uh, see above?

46. Have you ever had a white Christmas?:
Once. It was leftover snow from about a week before, but it counts.

47. What part of Christmas do you look most forward to?:
When all the presents are opened and you can just sit there and relax for a few minutes and enjoy your gifts and being together. The holiday depression usually doesn't set in for me until the day after.

48. Have you ever had your picture taken with Santa?:
This is a repeat question!

49. Does your family always take pictures at Christmas?
Rey does, but not my parents, not since I was a baby.

50. Have you ever heard the song "Thank God For The Kids"?:
Lol, what?
