Fighter Food?

Just curious if the fighters on my FList, or those who cook for them, eat anything specific on days that they have a fight practice?

Paul needs protein...but not too much...and fruit sugars. He actually does his best when he doesn't eat a lot at all. There's actually a particular brand of protein/fibre bar he liked and works really well for something like crown.

His regular diet tends to result in sugar crashes which leave him completely without energy.

Do you know what brand the bars are? Paul doesn't, he just knows he eats them!

Does it help with energy levels?

well I didnt used to eat anything, so it is better than that.

It has really only been about 3 practices, and I dont feel like I'm bouncing fun of engery, but it is than when I had nothing.

I cant say if its the pasta or just eating...

The only problem with pasta, particularly for certain body chemistry, is that it can result in sugar crashes. Some people process complex carbs better than others, depending on how efficient the pancreas is at dealing with the influx of sugars. I suspect that Kol might be more like Paul that way.

Nothing special for any of my exercise whether fighting, weight lifting or cardio. I just eat. I do like to have something to eat afterwards. I like raw almonds - 24 (an oz) and some fruit.

Nigel tends to eat fast food on the way to practice. The rest of the time we eat protein and lots of veg, minimal surgar including fruit sugar. We do minimal carbs as well.
