01. Am now working my way through the third season of Sanctuary. Feel free to blame this on lytab5. (But seriously? This show is awesome. I don't know why it took me up till the very last few episodes of the first season to get into it, but I'm glad I'm finally on board). Would anyone like to ~talk~ about this show with me? Misfits...as someone else pointed out, the show has a LOT of problems with rape + consent issues. I still like the show enough to keep watching but it does make me RAGEFUL from time to time. So far, this season (series 3) has had two episodes I hated and 1 I adored so...we'll see how the rest of the season goes.

Once Upon a Time is cute but I can't say I'm all that invested yet. Though I suspect I'd be in it 100% if Emma + Regina just started making out already. Or Ruby + Ashley, as they became my surprise ship in the last episode.

I actually meant to comment on your post - will do that soon, haha! But yes, IDK, the non-handling of rape issues well is squicky and I guess I'll just have to decide on my own how I feel about the show, if I do decide to pick it up later.

I can totally see Ruby & Ashley. I will settle for that, since the show does not seem inclined to give us Emma & Regina. Not that they seem likely to give us Ruby & Ashley, either, but...

WATCH REVENGE, DAMMIT SARAH. ♥ I need to someone to squee about it with because it is oh so slashy as you saw on my Tumblr. WE NEED TO GET MORE FANS OF THE ~LADY TENSION.

I really want to watch Sanctuary. I should... But there's so many shows to watch... And I really need to catch up with Once Upon a Time. Oops.

Also, my coworker told me about Grooveshark but I still haven't used it. Need to keep it in mind. :D

The reason I haven't sent you another ~detailed message~ on very thought-provoking... thoughts... is because I haven't watched it yet. But trust me when I say I had so many feelings deep thoughts on the previous episodes, mainly how all the ladies are doing each other, including Madeline Stowe's character and her BFF on the show, aka the woman who got together with her husbandYou should catch up with Once Upon a Time! And give Sanctuary a shot. :) Like I said, it took me a while to get into it, so if it takes you a while - that's probably normal? I would just skip to one of the later episodes, but just give the first couple a try. You might like it instantly ( ... )

I know you love Nikola... he's really fantastic and Helen/Nikola scenes are always the ones where I pee my pants laughing. ♥

3. Ha, I'm also behind on Dexter... [BEWARE OF SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED SEASON 6, PLEASE] the whole "faith" storyline is honestly bugging me and I can't help seeing Admiral Adama everytime Edward James Olmos is on my screen. That's a problem I have as a Battlestar Galactica fan. And that his character in Dexter is the creepy killer, really isn't helping the cause. *sigh ( ... )

1. Awesome, because I have so many thoughts and feelings that I'll need someone to discuss this with. I've tried looking for discussion comms, but haven't been able to turn up anything active. (Active comms, yes, but not active discussions on episodes).

Yes, I saw Breach - was that one of your favourites of the season?

I would marry her if I could; that's how awesome she is.

As for ships, this show is one of those where I don't really ship too much. Sort of like Warehouse 13. But then season 3 rolled around, and then the episodes where they're in Hollow Earth - and now I ship Helen/Ranna really, really hard. I don't typically ship Magnus (it's weird to call her Helen) with anyone, because she just doesn't have that kind of chemistry with anyone on the show. (I saw it occasionally with Kate, the few times she's interacted with her one-on-one, but I don't feel particularly inclined to shipping Kate/Helen. Tesla, on the other hand... I love them two together; they're so snarky and awesome and I can totally get behind that ship). In my ( ... )

Yes, I find that a little sad as well. Though there are always reaction posts, reviews and things like that happening after the airing of an episode. But it's not really the same.
I believe it has to do with the fact that Sanctuary is a tiny show (compared to a whole bunch of US productions) and unfortunately, the fandom is small.

I was really creeped out by that episode, partly because it was really late (and I'm a fraidy cat to begin with), and it was the last episode I saw before heading to bed a few nights ago. But like you said, I liked how it showed that she never gives up and tries to figure things out while she's trying to get away from Worth (no easy feat). This is one of those shows where I'd like to hear the commentary, just because I think the cast is amazing and would like to hear their insights ( ... )
