So I've been watching a lot of movies and TV shows lately - mainly because the next three weeks are going to be intense for me (I just started my biology practical today) - and I wanted to write down my thoughts.

I was about to come in and be all I AGREE. I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING ABOUT OUAT. But then I realized my name was in it.

the show boils it down to birth parent vs. foster parentThe show would be amazing if it weren't for this. The last ep really angered me.
IRL the kids might have been better up for adoption/foster care then with a dad who living in the same town as their mom but their mom never chose to tell him about them (probably for a reason) and who probably wont be able to feed and clothe then all the time... idk everything I say about OUAT thats not OMG EMMA/REGINA is becoming a rant...

Haha! And oops, sorry - I meant to type your username above, but then I misspelled it... and I think I can't edit my post, because it contains a poll. :/

The last episode pissed me off. I didn't like how Emma was pushing Hansel & Gretel's father to adopt them. He said he's not ready, and I don't think he should have those kids if he's not ready. Just because you're someone's biological parent does not automatically make you a better parent to a kid. Emma needs to stop throwing her weight around, especially when it comes to matters like these. She's projecting way too much.

Sheeee is. I want to slap her. They need to show kids with abusive bio parents on the show to balance this shit out. Bah.

I haven't read it yet; is it really that good? :) I already have two books on my to-read list, so maybe once I'm done with those, I can give Fingersmith a try.

What makes me sad is that this show has so much potential, and they squander it. And ITA about the adoption and the direction they could have gone with it. I'm just very disappointed, haha. The thing for me is that the Evil Queen doesn't strike me as particularly evil; she's more of a caricature of evil characters - so I find her story quite difficult to buy.
