OMG, SARAH. *points to icon* I can't believe we both ship Faberry. That is awesome news! They are actually my Glee OTP since season 2 started. And I've never been so involved in fanfiction/videos for a couple that is so very unlikely. (Even more so in season 2. They got me over the whole Britanna fiasco trampling my heart like elephants.)
OMG, SUSAN. What an awesome icon!! I need one too. Stat.
I feel like most of my ships are unlikely, as I mostly ship femslash (though that's beginning to change), haha. But I've been on a Rachel/Quinn kick the past few months, if my Tumblr is anything to go by, lol. I think I've shipped them since S1, but as you said, they only really became my OTP starting in S2. I haven't loved Brittany/Santana as much as I love Rachel/Quinn; I think it's the whole drama that these two bring - as they say, it's a very fine line between love and hate. And then with S3, it became especially obvious (and plausible) that Quinn had some kind of unrequited thing for Rachel, and I'm a sucker for stories like that, so.
(I guess it would be... Brittany/Santana are the cute, feel-good pairing that make me go "awww" and LOL, whereas Rachel/Quinn kind of reminds me of Myka/HG where they are good friends and harbour romantic feelings for each other (that they will never admit to) and are basically the PAIRING OF MY LIFE; BE STILL MY BROKEN HEART).
Laughing about you mostly shipping couples who are highly unlikely. How are you ever going to be satisfied? ;-) I basically ship everything where I feel even the slightest spark. I won't get into what kind of shows I have endured just for shipping purposes...
I haven't loved Brittany/Santana as much as I love Rachel/Quinn This! I agree with all your words there... same for me. ♥
I think people - i.e. some people involved in the media business - think that to tell a story about two people of the same sex in love, it has to be a big deal and have this whole coming out story, but all I want is for them to portray it normally, and have the characters do things that everyone else does and not be defined by the fact that they're gay. Like, I want things like a gay superhero movie, where everything is the same as, say, Batman or Spiderman (or some female version of it), but it's just that the love interest would be someone of the same sex. Is that so much to ask for?! <--- This clearly needs to be in its own LJ post.
Dude, I totally feel you on the enduring of shows. The only reason I tuned in to a few episodes of Glee this season was for Rachel/Quinn.
