even if you're gone i'm gonna drive
Research is exhausting, and I like winding down the day with an episode of something light-hearted and fun, such as Warehouse 13. (Note: SPOILERS for W13 4x02).
01. Myka's hair is back! Well. It's curly, at least. I take it that things are well in the land of HG & Myka? (No, seriously - we don't know, because they fail to mention where Helena is).
02. Jinksy is back! I've always liked Jinksy, but I don't know, man. Claudia's reasons for wanting him back aren't very convincing (she admits her own selfishness here) - she doesn't even seemed to have convinced Jinks. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what the adverse effects of the metronome are.
03. I like Myka's constant references to her lover. I like that they bring up the theme of bringing the dead back to life - obviously this is going to play a major role this season, what with Helena having tried to rescue Christina in the past, what Claudia just did with Jinks and the metronome, and what Artie did to save the Warehouse - but it's getting a bit heavy-handed, to be honest.
04. Artie's overexaggerated "what do you mean"s whenever someone brings up anything to do with time travel or resurrecting things is getting annoying. (I guess 03 & 04 could be the same point).
05. I almost forgot! Myka's fear of tentacles cnidarians? HILARIOUS. And Pete totally teasing her about it was great as well.
All in all, I thought it was lacking and not a very good follow-up to the season premiere (which was mostly awesome), but hopefully next week's episode will be better. What did you think?
