Ficlets: Blade the Series, Grey's Anatomy, & Grey's/ER Crossover
Okay. It's only 1am EST, but I decided to go ahead and post stuff for IDoF anyway because, well. I don't see how I'm going to manage to get on for long enough tomorrow without my parents constantly checking on what the hell I'm doing.
So here you go! Some drabbles I wrote up. Pretty much all of them were prompts given to me in a previous post I had made.

How She Liked It Best
Blade: The Series, Krista/Chase, Your Love is a Lie, 190 words. G.

Krista looked very different in bed.
Chase was used to seeing her defiant, refusing, angry.
But when she was asleep, she looked almost peaceful.
It almost made Chase forget how she refused to live the life of a vampire, refused to drink until she absolutely had to.
It was frustrating, yet so very Krista.
That was what she lo- liked about her.
Of course, Chase didn’t have any illusions about this.
Over the past few weeks, she had developed a sort of affection for Krista, but she knew better than to think that this meant anything to the other woman.
When it came down to it, she was sure that Krista would kill her if she had to.
When it came down to it, she was sure that she wouldn’t be able to kill Krista.
In a way, it was almost sad, but Chase had been through enough relationships to know that she didn’t want another one.
The arrangement they had now worked perfectly.
No strings attached; that was how Chase liked it best.
Closing her eyes, Chase tried to force herself to sleep.
It was all for the best.

Never Confess to Your Drunken Best Friends
Grey’s Anatomy, Izzie/Addison, Manolo Blahniks. 325 words. G.

Izzie had never told anyone this, but she had always had a thing for Addison.
She especially had a thing for Addison with her Manolo Blahniks.
Of course, she makes the mistake of spending a drunken night with George and Meredith, and by the next afternoon half the hospital knows of her obsession with Addison and her heels.
She fumes inwardly, embarrassed and annoyed, as Alex smirks at her knowingly when Addison decides she wants Izzie on obstetrics today.
“So Dr. Stevens,” Addison begins once they’re out of earshot. “Care to explain this rumour I hear about my shoes?”
Startled, Izzie stares back at Addison wordlessly. Finally, she manages, “Uh- nothing, Dr. Montgomery. What shoes?”
Addison seems to consider this, and then shakes her head. “Okay. But if you have any issues with me, take them up with me - not with whoever feeds the gossip around this place.”
Izzie doesn’t know exactly what Addison’s heard regarding her Manolo Blahniks, though she’s sure it’s nothing good.
Definitely nothing like what she told Meredith and George last night.
But she doesn’t see a need to correct Addison.
“Yes, okay,” she nods nervously. “I can do that.”
Addison doesn’t bring this up for the rest of the day, and Izzie thinks she’s caught a lucky break.
She doesn’t think so later on, when Addison shows up at Joe’s bar and sits next to her sipping her martini.
Izzie doesn’t like the silence between them and so she breaks it.
“Can I help you with something, Dr. Montgomery?”
Addison smiles at her. “It’s Addison, Dr. Stevens. Just Addison.”
Izzie is confused at first, but that doesn’t stop her from smiling back.
She’s silent for another moment, and then she gets it. “It’s Izzie, Addison.”
“Well, Izzie.” Addison’s still smiling, and this is very surreal. “Are you busy tonight?”
Izzie’s pretty sure that Addison’s propositioning her, but she doesn’t mind.
Especially not when Addison’s got her Manolo Blahniks on tonight.

So I made a post a while back mentioning my love for Elizabeth Mitchell and Kate Walsh (and how I couldn’t pick who I loved more), and narcolepsy_slds decided… why decide? So there you go. You can blame her for this. XP. I started this drabble a year ago; according to Microsoft Word, I started this on June 11, 2007, so yes - this was a VERY long time ago. I hope this is all right. It’s very AU, and I haven’t watched Elizabeth Mitchell’s E.R. clips in a long time, so I hope this isn’t too out of character.
Streetlights, Cold Weather, and Other Things New York
Grey’s Anatomy/E.R., Addison Montgomery/Kim Legaspi, #036 kiss. 150 words. PG.
Kim has just spent the entire day with Addison.
Which is unusual, because usually she doesn’t spend whole days with a person she’s just met (who also just happens to be a person she’s interested in).
But that is what happens, and Kim’s not complaining.
Addison comes to a stop in front of a stately brick building, and Kim stops right beside her.
“This is my stop,” Addison says with a smile that Kim can’t help but return.
“I’ll see you tomorrow?”
Addison nods in reply.
Just as Addison turns to go inside, Kim stops her abruptly, and suddenly they’re sharing their first kiss in front of Addison’s apartment.
It’s sweet, it’s long, and it’s just right, and when they finally pull apart Kim just wants to kiss her again.
She doesn’t, though.
She smiles, wider than before, and waves goodbye.
She walks home thinking of the kisses to come.
