Every man has a cross to bear

Some men don’t know there burden

Some men do

Some men are weak and lay down there cross

Some take it and carry it for there whole life

But when you lay your cross down all you can see is other people with there own crosses

And your heart weeps for them because you can’t help

I’ll take the cross

The Cross is not a burden anonymous May 16 2004, 19:19:14 UTC
It seems as though you view the Cross as a burden. I view it as the most wonderful thing that anyone could ever do for me. It is the greatest and most important thing in my life. The last thing that i would call it is a burden. A burden is something that I don't enjoy. While I may not deserve the forgiveness that Jesus dying on the Cross has provided me, I'm still very thankful for it. It is in no way shape or form a burden to me.

though I agree that it is a privilage to bear a cross for Jesus, everyone must agree that sometimes is does hurt and sometimes it feels like a burden to do the right thing...and personally, if you've never felt that way it seems like something is being done wrong

Oh, I agree that it does get tough. I've cried many a time over the pain i've felt along the way, but the joy that is has given me out weighs all of the pain. I gets tough, but i still know that i can do all things through Christ. He gives me the strength and joy to press on.
