Yes, Dale was ordained through Universal Life Church, but he did it years ago. He thought it would be fun to be able to tell people he was an ordained minister.
I am so glad we had Dale do the ceremony. Since we have been friends for so long he was able to make it really personal. Although there is a down side to having someone who knows you that well have a captive audience to which he can tell stories about you. At one point, he was pointing out that Adam and Eve were nakedness and were unashamed of their nakedness. There was an audible intake of breath from all of my friends; they knew that he would have some comment. And then he said, "I would just like to point out that Angel has never been ashamed of her nakedness."

I've seen some weddings where the minister is really good, but all of the weddings where the minister is a friend have been great.
