[The voice that comes through is distorted by heavy static. It doesn't wane or waver or clear up at all, and it doesn't make her inaudible or unintelligible. It's a just constant static running over everything she says.]

It is strange to be expected to make use of such primitive technology ( Read more... )

It's sort of like the internet. Except you can't get on any of the websites, or e-mail. Just this network.

Yes. It seems to be an intranet.

It has been some time since last I used a network like this. What is its common utilization?

Anou... It seems like it's for people in the city to get in touch with each other. I've seen people talk about everything from party plans, to exploration 'missions.'

Anou...? [This sounds almost confused, like she's asking what it means.]

So it is utilized much like...a social network, or a message board. Hmm... It is not so different, then.

Perhaps it is best that technology remains at this level.

Are you also from an earlier time than two-thousand nine?

I don't know...the technology here looks really cool, though, and the architecture's taller than anything I've ever seen before.

...Are you saying I'm not in the same time period I was before?

Yes.

I am from the mid twenty-thirties.

If this technology is completely unfamiliar to you, logically you must come from a period before it was invented.

"Primitive"? Well, they're not supercomputers, but the technology isn't that far behind.

But yes, I see and hear some of the others have filled you in quite nicely! But who are you, miss?

They are hardly Consciousness Orbs.

I am Doctor Angelicus...

Consciousness Orbs? Hm. That's certainly new!

Oh, another doctor! Fantastic! I am Doctor Madaraki. Please, feel free to call me Fran. Tell me, Doctor Angelicus, where and when are you from? I'm assuming there is most definitely temporal travel involved here, and probably interdimensional travel, as well, but I can't be sure of that quite yet.

Yes. They will not exist for another decade or so, I believe.

Doctor Madaraki - Fran. Just...Angelicus, will do.

I am from...

A time following the year twenty thirty-two. And a place known as the Neuro Tower, which will not exist for some time yet.
