I got a new computer! Yay me! It's a amd athlon 2.6 dual core with 3 gigs of ram and an ati x1050 video card with 256 onboard, upgradeable. Now I just need a decent sound card, and sexy feminen voice to whine at me whenver anything goes wrong.

Oh, and to figure out a way to successfully rid myself of Vista.

Unless they come with Vista. Then they're merely very cool.

The guy I bought mine from hinted that there is a way to get XP on the computer. He cautioned me that it would void my warranty, so I didn't pursue the matter, but someone with more computers wiles than me might do some investigating.

But you didn't hear any of that from me.

I could put XP on my computer, but it's just delaying the inevitable. And Vista isn't that bad once you spend a good hour to two hours disabling all the "safety" features.
