Take 10 books out on your author, look at the index on what pages talk about your play, skim those and write a paragraph explaining the gist of it and why it's relevant to reserach. That's your bibliography project.
Keep yourself going by making a list of your tasks...it will seem extremely daunting, but start tackling them one by one. You can even make sub-lists for things like your design projects. Once items on the list start disappearing, you'll see and end in sight, and if you bust your ass working, taking 15 minute breaks every so often, you'll keep the energy to finish up. Bring cold drinks and snacks. Sometimes I'll make a deal with myself that after every little task(even if it's as small as answering one question on a worksheet, or reading one page of notes and understanding it) I'll reward myself with one snack. Otherwise, I don't get the prize. Then on days when I work for 13 hours straight I just plow through because I have to.
I find the need to take my work with me and find someplace alone to get things done. Usually the lab downstairs works for me, since to do what I need to I need a computer, but pretty much as long as it's distraction free. That's why I can't seem to get anything done when I'm in my room. There's so much for me to do there, too much to grab my attention away from where it should be. Too many friends to talk to, too many things to blankly stare at, and too many random noises that demand locating. And of course a much-too-comfy bed to splop onto.
I wish you luck, Ben. Just know that when it comes to stuff like this, you're certainly not alone.
Hey, as soon as I come up with a solution... I'll let you know.
In any case, some things that do help a bit is a daily to do list, with one thing on there being like a given relaxing time. That way you don't overbook yourself. Also, library or computer lab does wonders.
I have a huge project due Tuesday as well. I mapped out my powerpoint on a napkin so I know what I want to do. All I need to do is add the information. It should take about 2 hours, so that's not bad. I also have the 8-10 page paper about it due Thursday and that's gunna be a bit harder, but it will be based off the power point. It's still a lot of work though. Drink Vault and stay up all night. Not the wisest of ideas but hey, you're a college student. You can look back and say "Look at what an idiot I was."
My advice is probably the exact opposite of what everyone is tell you to do. Then again, everyone else isn't the Treasurer of their Student Association and has somewhat of a life. I, on the other hand, don't have a life anymore. WHOO HOO!!
