Why must it always be a question of romantic love? Why is it that any time I try to explain to people that they deserve more than what they can and will get themselves into it is misconstrued to be some symbol of intimate affection ( Read more... )

Maybe it's in the phrasing...

First question: "Do you believe that all people, no matter who they are or what they do, deserve to be loved?"

Second question: "Do you believe that someone could accept the love of another without any romantic attachments?"

If they answer positively to either question, then there is no way that they should interpret anything further from you as a come on or professions of mad, passionate love.

Unless of course they weren't listening in detail in the first place, when the beautiful creature in front of them was speaking...*hugs*

Never give up on what you believe in, period.
