I'm like... seriously sad about this. :( We have been WAITING. I thought if by the end of the season we got a hug it would be awesome. And now we got it.. but didn't see it.

Well, I think he was just being Castle an exaggerating. Ergo, there was no Caskett hug. Sadly.

See... I don't know about that! I hope that is true! But I mean.. he even said it was a "sweaty hug" ... which makes me think that it did happen... :(

Haha can you imagine?! Beckett just jumping up and hugging him and going back to the treasure and Castle standing there in his sweaty glory all dazed, thinking, "Did she just hug me?" ;)

Okay, someone officially needs to write this fic. ;)

It doesn't surprise me as they're not supposed to be "getting together" any time soon. There's more angst to come, according to spoilers so be prepared for no physical contact for a while.
