Tell me please, which hardware/software you use? =)
When I tried to make psy-movie first time, I used Macromedia Flash on weak laptop (Intel Celeron 1Ghz)
Now I have Apple PowerBook G4 with Adobe CS2 (with Alien Skin Plugins), Flash Professional, Bryce 3D, NeuroMixer VJ tool and usual tools like iMovie and iTunes =)
I'm sorry I did not reply sooner. For graphics and video, I use a bunch of different software. I have much of the same stuff that you do, except for Neuromixer. I use Arkaos VJ because I have used it for so long and know it very well. My set-up is also not Apple based. I have some video projectors, portable DVD players, and some random lighting effects units.
I don't really know what I would recommend for applications that you don't already have. You have some pretty badass programs already. As far as hardware, I would recommend maybe a Korg Entrancer and a video mixer like an Edirol V4 or something along those lines. I'm currently spending some money to expand my video capabilities and can probably offer more advice on what works for me in the near future.
