"My mouth."

Oh, he is such a sweet innocent on one hand, so literal and just...hard-wired. But he is so old on the other hand, so damaged and wanting. I love this universe and where you are taking us. I still tremble as to what the future will bring for a finite human and a (potentially) infinite 'bot, but living in the present is perhaps their only choice.

I finally got the time to really read closely. I wanted to catch everything. There is so much subtle emotion and inferrence in this story. It isn't surprising when you are talking about one of the first Realistics and being centuries old. Elijah is so unique. You capture the obedience and resignation of acceptance and the feeling of real hurt and emotion which makes him so vulnerable and touches our hearts because of it. As a human, I see a lot of the same traits in Orlando. This chapter delves more into trust. I imagine more will come out to Orlando concerning the way Elijah was used and mishandled. It sounds like it was a horrific kinda of rape that Elijah had to undergo with Karl's "Parties". Elijah has strong feelings that surface in worrying about entering Tara's "party". He didn't want to enter and clutched that package so close. It was so sad. "He knows what it's like to have no one to turn to, no way out." This really hurts me ( ... )

awww! I hope this means you're feeling a little better! Poor Elijah, though he has been around a long time he still has so much to learn. He has certain rules that he has to follow and one is that he can't lie to direct questions. When Orlando was asking him questions he was trying not to tell the truth and that was causing his systems to malfunction. As for the rest ... I can't answer ;) but there will be more soon! I'm so glad that you're enjoying this story and I adore you long time! <3's

Poor Elijah! I kind of wish he'd told Orlando the truth about his past experiences. But I'm glad that he's found out that Orlando is not just faking nice.

Also, Elijah and the engagement present? Possibly the cutest thing EVER! <3

I've been going nuts all day trying to get back to this.

Another great chapter. Another day. Another step toward feeling truly human, by having choices.

Elijah's fatalism breaks my heart. There is something so much more painful about his resigned acceptance that Orlando will break faith with him and send him back than if he were crying and begging Orli to stay.

I love thinking about it that way *g*. I know, I'm twisted lol but Elijah was around for sooooo long and everyone who touched his life left him, he couldn't imagine a future where he would have what he wanted most. ;)
