People in Illinois are whiney bitches. I have never heard people use weather as an excuse more than in the past couple days. Granted...there was a lot of snow and the roads were *keyword being WERE here people* shitty, but now? PLEASE. "The roads still have snow on them, it's still shitty out." No doubt. Admittedly some places have craptastic snow removal (at times like this I wish I had sprung for 4-wheel drive), but there's no blowing snow, visibility is clear, as long as you slow down to account for the snow (its not even proper ice) there is no problem. Though the big old truck with Texas plates passing me in town felt kinda awkward (I think I was running 25 in a 30 mph zone...)

Sadly I think that happens just about anywhere where it doesn't snow on a regular basis. A few flakes in the air and people freak out. I've heard stories of people from Atlanta stopping work because of snow that was less then an inch because it's so rare down there they're scared to drive in it.
